Hi!,

 

I'm Rachel and I recently launched Butler and Blakely, a home textile and accessory line inspired by my parents. Butler is my dad's middle name and Blakely is my mom's family name.

 

My parents were married for 45 happy years and for 20 of those years my dad worked a textile factory. Every week he would bring home huge bags of scraps, fat quarters, and remnants that my Mom sewed into dresses, tops, pants for me and my 7 siblings. I think my love affair with fabric started with a pair of green plaid pants my mom made for me when I was in first grade. 

 

Since then, I've always been involved with design in some form. After working as a graphic designer for a few years, I studied textile design and the idea for Butler & Blakely was born. Now I design home accessories with the same exuberant use of colors and prints as my mom.

 

At Butler & Blakely we aspire to create classics with a twist.  Our mission is to provide beautiful products designed with eclectic pattern and color combinations. Each collection reflects a different part of the Butler & Blakely story and we hope that you'll make our textiles and accessories part of your story too.
